An area of England encompassing chalk hills and the Vale of York, East Yorkshire is an agricultural county with nature reserves and scenic beauty, though there are parts which have historic towns and seaside resorts. Facing the North Sea, East Yorkshire provides sandy beaches, harbours and pretty bays along its coastline.
